Weatherford Scholarship

Amanda Kleinert, owner of Main Street Books, was recently awarded the Weatherford Scholarship to the 2007 Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar for booksellers, librarians, and collectors to take place August 5th – 10th. The scholarship is named for Alibris founder Richard Weatherford, and is open to sellers who list their books on alibris.com (an online book–selling service) across the nation. The seminar will include intensive courses on such subjects as internet bookselling, marketing a book business, technology for the trade, conservation and preservation of books, evaluating and pricing books, and book fairs. While Amanda is attending the seminar, Main Street Books will maintain limited hours of operation as follows:

  • Sunday, August 5th – Closed
  • Monday, August 6th – Friday, August 10th – 10 am to 2 pm
  • Saturday, August 11th, resume normal business hours

Meet the Author – Jewels Mesaros

Come to Main Street Books on Thursday, July 12th at 7 pm for our monthly 'Meet the Author' event featuring local author Jewels Mesaros. Jewels will be discussing her book Sweet Seasons of Miracles: Stories of Encouragement and Hope in Times of Trial. Copies of the book will be available for purchase with a personalized signing from the author.

Summer Reading Program

Our second annual Summer Reading Program is now underway through August 25th. Children ages 4 to 14 are welcome to come on down and sign up at any time - registration is free. For more information about this program, please give us a call or stop in and visit!
